This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by using our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most HDD PCBs store unique parameters in a ROM memory chip that are required for proper operation; the ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If a chip transplant is possible, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer; for customers with purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
