This listing is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Due to our large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. These circuit boards are supplied for hard drive repair and data recovery purposes. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique calibration and configuration data stored in a ROM (memory) chip; that information is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
