This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only. No complete hard drive is included. Because we carry a large inventory, the actual circuit board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: hard drive repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verifying compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most WD PCBs contain drive-specific data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; this information is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more, we include complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
