This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock many PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, use our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a PCB swap will resolve your issue and verify compatibility by consulting the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs store unique calibration and configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If transplanting the chip is feasible, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
