This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly in appearance from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM memory chip that is required for the drive to function correctly. That ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If moving the chip is possible, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transferring the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
