This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or hard drive repair. Important technical note: many hard drive PCBs store unique parameters in a ROM "memory" chip. That ROM data is required for correct drive operation; either the ROM chip itself or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If moving the ROM chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For customers spending $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
