This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We stock a large number of PCBs, so the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before ordering, verify that replacing the PCB will fix your drive by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique information in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers with a purchase of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service — either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
