This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no complete hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for use in data recovery or hard drive repair, this board must be checked for compatibility before purchase. Most drive PCBs contain unique information stored on a ROM "memory" chip that is required for proper operation. That ROM data must be transferred to the replacement board, either by moving the chip itself or by reprogramming the new PCB. A local computer technician can usually perform the chip transplant if the chip can be physically moved.
