Product is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. We maintain a large inventory, so the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This board is intended for HDD repair and data-recovery tasks. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will address your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs store unique drive-specific data on a ROM memory chip; that data is required for correct drive operation and must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the new board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either physically moving the ROM chip to the replacement PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
