This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock many PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the picture. Intended use: data recovery and HDD repair. Before purchasing, confirm a PCB swap will fix your drive by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM memory chip that is essential for proper drive operation. That ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If transferring the chip is feasible, a local computer technician can usually perform the procedure. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
