This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is not included. We maintain a large inventory, so the actual PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. This board is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery. Before purchasing, please verify compatibility by consulting our Donor Matching Guide and run our hard drive diagnostics to confirm a PCB replacement is appropriate. Most WD 2.5" PCBs contain unique information stored on a ROM memory chip; that ROM (or its data) must be transferred to the replacement board for the drive to function correctly. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either relocating the ROM chip onto the new PCB or programming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
