This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we have a large inventory, the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This board is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique drive data in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred or programmed onto the replacement board. If you cannot move the chip yourself, a local computer technician can usually transplant it. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either relocating the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
