This listing is for a hard drive circuit board / logic board (PCB) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for use in data recovery and HDD repair, this PCB is intended as a replacement part. Many hard drive PCBs store unique factory data in a ROM memory chip that is required for the drive to function correctly; that ROM or its contents must be migrated to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: we will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or program the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
