This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — the hard drive mechanism is not included. Because we stock a large quantity of boards, the exact PCB you receive may vary slightly from the pictured item. Intended use: data recovery and HDD repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and checking compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs contain vital, drive-specific data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for proper drive operation and must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
