This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. Because we have a large stock of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The PCB is supplied for use in hard drive repair or data-recovery work. Before ordering, confirm whether a replacement PCB can resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip itself, or its stored data, must be transferred or programmed onto the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For customers with orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
