This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery use. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for correct drive operation and must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For customers with purchases of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
