This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Due to the large quantity of PCBs in stock, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These PCBs are intended for use in data recovery and hard drive repair. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement PCB will address your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verifying compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards hold unique data in the ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for proper drive operation and must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer; alternatively, the ROM contents can be reprogrammed onto the new PCB. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which includes either moving the ROM chip to the new board or reprogramming the PCB with the correct ROM data.
