This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of replacement PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These PCBs are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before buying, please consult our hard drive diagnostics guidance to confirm a PCB swap is the correct fix, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many drive circuit boards store unique configuration data in a ROM ("memory") chip; that ROM content is required for proper drive operation and must be transferred to the replacement board or reprogrammed. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either relocating the ROM chip to the new PCB or programming the new board with the correct ROM data.
