Item is the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY — no physical hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the exact circuit board you receive may vary slightly from the pictured example. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm whether a replacement board will resolve your problem by using our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and check compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM memory chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its stored data, must be transferred to the replacement circuit board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either relocating the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
