This listing is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock a large number of boards, the exact PCB you receive may look slightly different from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most hard drive PCBs store unique operational data in a ROM chip; that ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board for the drive to function correctly. If the original ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the swap. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service which includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the board with the correct ROM data.
