This listing includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Because we stock many of these PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for hard drive repair and data-recovery use, this replacement board can be used when diagnosing or fixing a faulty drive. Most drive PCBs store unique calibration and configuration data in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data must be present on the replacement board for the drive to operate correctly. When possible the ROM chip can be physically transferred to the new board, a job typically handled by a local computer technician.
