This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery applications. Before purchasing, use our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a PCB swap will resolve your issue, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique information in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either relocating the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
