This listing includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board — if a chip transplant is feasible, a local computer technician can usually perform it.
