This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB, Logic board) ONLY — the drive itself is NOT included. Because we carry a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended uses: data recovery and hard drive repair. Most hard drive circuit boards store crucial, unique information in the ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the swap.
