This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is NOT included. We maintain a large inventory, so the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the pictured item. Intended use: data recovery or hard drive repair. Before purchasing, verify that replacing the PCB will solve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most hard drive PCBs store unique information in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
