This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm whether a replacement board will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique information in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM or its data must be transferred to the replacement board for the drive to function properly. If the ROM chip can be physically moved to the new board, a local computer technician can usually perform the job. For customers spending $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip to the replacement PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
