This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Because we have a large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before ordering, confirm that swapping the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration in the ROM memory chip; that data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transferring the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
