This sale includes the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive is NOT included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM memory chip that is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board for the drive to function. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can usually transplant the chip. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: we will either move the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
