This listing includes the hard drive circuit board / PCB / logic board only — no hard drive is supplied. We have a large inventory of PCBs, so the board you receive may differ somewhat from the photo. Intended for HDD repair and data recovery tasks, this replacement PCB can be used to attempt to restore a malfunctioning drive. Many hard drive PCBs store unique configuration information in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant.
