This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the specific board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: replacement PCB for HDD repair or data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: many hard drive circuit boards store unique configuration in a ROM “memory” chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that will either transplant the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
