This listing includes only the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) — the drive itself is NOT included. Because we carry a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These circuit boards are intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will fix your unit by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most WD PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM ("memory") chip; that ROM data must be transferred or copied to the replacement board for the drive to function correctly. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new board or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
