Sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide. Verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Note: most hard drive PCBs contain unique configuration stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip (or its contents) must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be removed and moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the procedure. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the board with the correct ROM data.
