This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We maintain a large inventory, so the exact PCB shipped may vary slightly from the photo. This board is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery work. Prior to purchase, confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by using our hard drive diagnostics guide and check compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique information in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for proper drive operation; the ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
