Product is the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. We stock a large number of PCBs, so the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement board will fix your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most WD PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for proper drive operation and must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
