This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large quantity of compatible PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for HDD repair and data recovery tasks, this PCB is intended as a replacement part for matching donor drives. Important: most hard drive PCBs store unique calibration and firmware data in a ROM "memory" chip. That ROM data is required for correct drive operation and must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer; otherwise the ROM contents need to be reprogrammed onto the new PCB. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — we will either transplant the ROM chip onto your new board or reprogram the PCB with the correct ROM data.
