This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We keep a large inventory of PCBs, so the exact board shipped may vary slightly from the photo. Intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip itself, or its stored data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If physical transfer is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the procedure. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
