Only the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) is included in this listing — the hard drive itself is NOT supplied. We stock a large quantity of PCBs; the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair or data-recovery work. Before purchasing, use our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your problem, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs store unique drive parameters in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If transferring the chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the task. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
