This listing is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — no hard drive is included. We stock a large quantity of PCBs, so the circuit board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Most hard drive circuit boards store unique parameters in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers with orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which includes either relocating the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
