This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is provided. The actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo because we maintain a large stock of similar boards. Intended uses: data recovery and HDD repair. Before ordering, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most replacement PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data is required for proper operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the new board. If feasible, a local computer technician can perform the chip transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either moving the ROM chip onto the replacement PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
