Item is a replacement hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Most drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM memory chip that is required for the drive to operate correctly. That ROM data must be transferred or programmed onto the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a qualified local computer technician can perform the transplant; alternatively, we offer complimentary adaptation service on orders of $60 or more, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
