This listing is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or hard drive repair. Most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If physically moving the ROM chip is possible, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we offer a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
