This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the unit shipped may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide. Also verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
