Listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for HDD repair and data recovery use. Before buying, confirm a replacement board will resolve your issue by using our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain drive-specific data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip itself or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a qualified local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
