Item is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may vary slightly from the photo. This board is supplied for hard drive repair and data recovery applications. Verify that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many WD PCBs store essential firmware in a ROM "memory" chip; that data must be present on the replacement board for the drive to operate. If possible, the ROM chip can be transferred to the new PCB by a local computer technician.
