Item is a replacement hard drive circuit board / logic board only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly in appearance from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery workflows. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip (or its contents) must be transferred to the replacement board — when physically possible, a local computer technician can perform the chip transplant. For customers who spend $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
