This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / Logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We stock a large quantity of PCBs, so the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for data recovery and hard drive repair work, this PCB is intended as a replacement part for compatible WD drives. Most WD PCBs store unique, mandatory data in the ROM memory chip; that ROM content must be transferred to the replacement board or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data for the drive to function. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform that transfer.
