This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large quantity of these PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB is likely to resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many of these boards contain a unique ROM "memory" chip whose data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform that transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
