This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive is NOT included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended uses: hard drive repair and data recovery. Before ordering, confirm that swapping the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most of these PCBs contain unique information stored in the ROM 'memory' chip; that data is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the replacement PCB or reprogramming the new board with the proper ROM data.
