This listing is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no HDD is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The PCB is intended for data recovery or hard drive repair work. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for correct drive operation; that ROM or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot move the chip yourself, a local computer technician can usually transplant it. For customers who spend $60 or more, we include complimentary adaptation service — either transferring the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
