This listing is for the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photograph. Designed for hard drive repair and data recovery, this PCB is intended as a replacement part for compatible drives. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive circuit boards store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for correct operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board, or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either relocating the ROM chip onto the replacement PCB or reprogramming the new board with the proper ROM data.
